So the picture is not correct on the web site?  I see no spot for the power lugs.  I assume it will be 12v power input.

Power input for the controller is on lower right corner.  The controller needs a 5v supply but the pixels can be 5v-24v using separate power supply on the differential receiver board(s)

I'm an all 12v setup, so I guess I would need 1 5v power supply just for the F48.

I power my F16V3 with this one. $13.00 on Amazon and I plan on powering the F48 with it also. Its small and fits nicely into an enclosure.MEAN WELL RS-25-5 AC to DC Power Supply, Single Output, 5V, 5 Amp, 25W, 1.5

Or use one of the buck convertors.  Like $2 on ebay.  I bought some for this sorta thing.  Komblinkin strobes are 5v too.

OK I guess I'm just not that smart.   :P

I'm not sure what this board actually does?  I saw the setup diagram.  Is it just a box where the data is distributed to smaller controllers?  So one central box and then add smaller (cheaper) distributed receivers to the connections?

Sorry for the really basic questions.

Maybe this helps:

This board (F48) acts like a Differential Expansion board would on a F16v2/F16v3/F4v3 except it can connect up to 12 Differential Receivers (ie: 48 pixel ports) .  Essentially the F48 is a controller that you don't connect pixel strings directly to.  You can locate it at a central point in your display area.

I believe that number should be 12 expansion boards (instead of 16), or am I seeing it wrong?

Thanks, you are right, that is what I meant to type.  I'm going to correct so I don't confuse anyone.

Handy little 12-24 to 5v 10A converter.  I'm using one to power my F16V3 and expansion board.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but I was just wondering what the physical dimensions of the board are going to be.
Going by the photo it looks like it's going to be close to the F-16 V3 if not exact.
And if it is based off the F-16 are the mounting holes the same?
