F4v3 pixel controller is it going to work like my Pi Cap
« on: April 19, 2018, 10:54:45 AM »
Hello, im considering another pixel controller to add more pixels to what I already have. Does the F4v3 controller require the same things as my pi cap like micro sd  with Fpp on it and connected to the hdmi. Is it more outdoor friendly or temperature sensitive like the Pi Cap and wouldnt work in and un heated shed in the winter.
I already have a falcon pi cap on a pi 3 b that I still havent totally figured out yet. But im workin on it. Please chime in if you have answers for me. Thanks in advance

The F4 works just like its big brother the F16 but with fewer ports.  There is no Pi required unless you wish to use one.  But you must have something send it data.  Could be a computer, a Pi that is connected via cable or be part of a network with other controllers.  Lots of options.
