4-string board and 5 V pixles

 I am trying to run a F16V2-R, connected to a F16V2/F16V3 differential expansion board, with a 4-string differential receiver board.  Set up worked ok when tested with 12V pixels.  Hacking old LOR 5V pixels, a string of 100 runs fine off the F16V2-R, with power injection.  But when I plug them into the 4-string board, most of lights are white, with a few blinking random colors.  4-string is run off same power supply and runs around 4.78V.  Any thought on why 5V pixels dont do so well?

Don't have any LOR CCP pixels, but aren't they 4-wire?  If so, 4-wire pixels won't work on an a Differential receiver. There is no Clock signal, just Data. (yes, it has 4 connections - but Clock is not provided)

The F16v2 and v3 boards do provide clock.

That is the answer.  Thank you.  Yes, the LOR are 4 wire, and the 12V pixels I tested are 3 wire.  Will go to plan B.
