Looks straightforward but thought others have likely done this and perhaps there is a howto/vid or something like that available.

Well that didnt go so well.. I put on the 3d mounts to the 2nd PS .. placed it in the lid of the cg1500 and realized it would not fit .. :-( I guess the mean well PS are thinner then the china knockoffs. grr..

Yeah theres probably 3/8 to 1/2 difference between them
But on a more positive note the China knockoffs seem to be pretty good quality
Ive had one running off and on for almost 6 months for under cabinet lighting with no issues

But back to youre question Ive seen a few builds were the ps were installed under the boards as well

All that crammed into one CG1500 box is going to get HOT.   You'll need to add ventilation
xLights and Vixen3 for sequencing / FPP for scheduling and playing / Falcon controllers for pixels / homemade controllers for everything else

Heat WILL be a problem.  I have several CG1500's with two Meanwell power supplies. Without ventilation, they go over 100 degrees F.  I cut holes with a hole saw on each side and used 1-1/2" PVC male adapter and a 90 degree PVC elbow placed facing down.  This allows plenty of ventilation for the power supplies and is waterproof if sealed at the joints with some kind of sealer.
