Sounds like your Pi might have changed network addresses.  I would login to your router and double check the Pi's network address.

However now I can see it on my network .....

You see it using an IP scanner? You see it in your Router's table of connected devices?

Try killing power, count to 10, then re-power. What happens then?

Ive tried to reboot everything, killed power and waited 30 seconds. Nothing changes.

On your smartphone or wireless laptop, do you see an SSID in the list named FPP ???

If so, connect to it with the password "Christmas"

Then access it from that phone or laptop using the IP address of 192.168.0.1

ps - you didn't really answer the first question - How are you seeing that the device is online?

I guess what I don't understand is how it is playing music but you can't get access to the interface.

Back when you had access, did you set up a scheduled playlist and that is running even though you can no longer control it?

From a "time spent" basis, I would have re-imaged with v2.3 and started over many hours ago.

Another update. I unplug my eithernet cable from my FP to my F16 and I can now access the web interface.
