video out from fpp looks great
« on: June 22, 2014, 07:45:18 PM »
i am playing frozen.mp4 from my fpp, video out composite port, audio comes out 3.5mm audio port.

Looks and sounds great.

I also want to get a short throw projector. I own two Epson projectors, 10 years old. they are just composite/vga as video inputs.

I think the newer version of my projector would be something like this

my old one (composite only input), 2000 lumens worked just fine for Virtual Santa and projecting singing faces onto uncut pumpkins.

it is nice not having to have  another computer dedicated to projecting video.

I will be teaching a class on how to create sequence in xlights and have it perfectly synced to the video. then have both fseq file and movie coming out of fpp.

I have 3 more raspberry pi's (hint, hint capt murdoch) ill test the master/slave for you when you get it released.

great job team

Video looks great with the HDMI out port too. I'd love to see the tut on combining it with Xlights.

I am doing a house projection and light sequence from the Pi this year and I couldn't be happier with the results.
The projector i'm using is only a 720p resolution Short throw from benQ

I am using HDMI for the video. I'm desperately trying to work out how to video the results but the iPhone isn't cutting it.
Some Photos of the setup
