Hi I was wondering if anyone had sucessfully install a 7" waveshare screen on a FPP pi4 installation. I had it working with the official Pi touchscreen but they went out of stock and I cannot get the waveshare screen to work. UI realise this is not directly FPP related so thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Possibly a weak power adapter?

Kensington Graves

Not working in what way?  Touchscreen functionality doesn't work or doesn't power up or the size is wonky?  I went through four touchscreens recently with a RPi project.

So I have now got the screen working but I had to rpi-update to 6.1.58.
The screen now shows the console but when I have enabled the kiosk mode it lauches X but not chrorium.
Any help on getting over this last hurdle would be great.

Ok after a bit more push and shove I have got it working. I had not expanded my file system so chromium had not installed corretly!
So the waveshare 7" screen has build in support in 6.1.58 and above just need to add this to config.txt

Hope this helps someone

Could you provide a bit more detail?  Where is config.txt for one. Which touchscreen did you use?  Thx
