Big Buttons plugin not working this year

I setup the bigbuttons plugin last year for my wife to change colors on our indoor tree.  Worked great.  This year some of the buttons do not seem to change.  I have six buttons defined
blue, green, red, white, twinkle, rainbow(butterfly using rainbow palette) and off.

I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled,  I opened each sequence, rendered and saved.  I have run each sequence using the sequence play option from my laptop.  I have recreated the buttons.  Fortunately the only one my wife uses any more is the rainbow option which autostarts when the power is turned on.

blue - works
green - starts rainbow
red - works
white works
twinkle - starts rainbow
rainbow - works
off - works

FPP is running 7.4

In playing with the buttons sometimes if I press off and then go to a color button I can get all the options to work, but not consistently.  We never had this issue last year running ver 6.x  I suspect something changed but do not know what.  @capt Murdock  got any ideas

I did use the 7.4 fppos to upgrade and it currently shows no additional upgrades available.

This is a PiZeroW using a small 3 port hat from jboards with 2 strings of 150 WS2811s.

show us the setup of the buttons not working. Maybe we can test and see what is going on.

I use big buttons all the time on my Pi4, works fine for my configuration.  There were some changes this year.  Seems like dkulp had to make some adjustments to it this spring after an update.

Last night, in playing with it on my phone I found it to be very inconsistent.  Sometimes if I hit the off button first the buttons will work, but not always  When it is playing the rainbow seq I can push the green button and nothing happens, but it I push the red button the color changes to red.  If I then press the green button if goes back to rainbow (usually) or sometimes just stays green.  Last year it was totally reliable with no issues whatsoever.

The setup is is click the gear icon and select a sequence.  The plugin takes care of everything else other than you can change the color of the button (not thru the gear option).  The plugin creates a playlist with one line that plays the sequence selected.  Apparently that button just invokes the automatically created playlist.

I just use it for shortcuts.  Example, reload remote falcon playlist, restart remote falcon listener, extend show 15 minutes... pretty basic stuff.  Not having any issues though.

If they are triggering wled effects, you likely need to recreate the wled effects.   The WLED stuff in FPP is very different in FPP7.

I have no idea what wled effects are.  The sequences are one line of on effect with a color and some sparkles.  Pretty simple.  There is only one model in the whole setup and that is a tree using two ports with 150 nodes each.

Are you saying that you have a green button that should play green.fseq and instead when you press the green button, rainbow.fseq is getting played?  Does the status page reflect that?  Turn on playlist debug level logging and then press the green button and then check the logs and see what playlist it started.
