Use Output Processor as a color filter across several props?

Good morning/afternoon/evening all,

I have been running LED holiday lights for almost a decade, but I am new to FPP this year.  I am running it on a pi 3B.

I came across an interesting use case and I'm not sure if Output Processors can easily solve it.

I have translucent red candy cane props with RGB pixels in them (8 pixels per candy cane, 6 canes, = 144 channels in series).
Given that the plastic tube is red, the lights only look good if the Red channel is used.

What I was hoping to do is to use an FPP filter to set the GREEN and BLUE channels to 0 for these 48 pixels.

Here are my questions (in no particular order).

1) is there such a thing as a color channel filter I can just apply to these models?
2) is there a way to configure existing SET VALUE processors to repeat X times skipping Y channels?
Using this, I could start on channel 2 (Green) of the first model, SET VALUE to 0, have it repeat 8 times, skipping 2 channels.
Then I could have a second filter starting on channel 3 (Blue) SET VALUE to 0, also repeating 8 times and skipping 2 channels.
3) Assuming there is no good answer for 1 or 2, it looks like I can configure 24 output processors to each set a value of 0 for 2 channels and have each of them start them on the GREEN channel for each pixel.

Is there any easier way to achieve this result?

The sequences are being generated in xLights.     I tried using the xLights "Single Color" for "String Type" but that only output 3 channels instead of 24 per candy cane.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

If you are sequencing in xLights, the easiest way would be to just use red for your color.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

I know, but I am applying some effects across large areas/groups that include these props (butterfly, etc) and all the other props look good with the multiple colors - but I just want to filter out the green/blue from these.
