I think I know the answer, but I wanted to check anyway. I was investigating the Simple Countdown feature in FPP and realized that it wouldn't also countdown the number of seconds. Is there a way to make it do that (so days/hours/mins/secs)?

TIA

I did not include the seconds for a couple reasons.
The text that is displayed is loaded into a buffer and then that buffer is manipulated to scroll across the screen. Creating a "live updating" display would require the buffer to get re-written every 1/2 second and that would require keeping track of where that buffer is in the scroll position and then updating it. That would be a daunting task.

That makes sense.
What about if I didn't have it scrolling by though, like when speed is set to 0?

That would be a little easier but not something I have time to work on right now, but something I would consider in the future.

Understood, and I appreciate what you've done supplying it to begin with

I may take a peek at the source code, but I am not a js or php guy, so we will see how deep I get into it.

Thanks and happy scheduling.

Hi I have a quick question for the Simple Countdown timer. For some reason, the text starts to about 3/4 across my display as it scrolls off it reappears on the left side of the matrix and gets over written. I cant seem to find a setting to change the alignment

thanks

That sounds like a Panel configuration issue. Have you displayed text from a sequence?

Yes text in sequences works fine and so does video played to the matrix.

Here is the link to what I am seeing when using simple Countdown

Here is what it looks like just send text and video through xlights sequence

So the Panel config is fine

How about a screenshot of your settings (please post a screenshot and not links to the pics) The Quick Reply doesn't give you the option for attachments unless you go to the preview page.
