what software should i use?

i, ill start with a little history. I started with LOR and have 2 CTB 16, 3 CMB 16 and 1 CMB 24. since then I added a smart sting hub from Lynx and am running 5 universes of Pixels with the ssc from lynx. since them seem to have parked things I cam looking at going with Falcon from here on. my question for now is I have been using lor for programming but it is tedious and time consuming at best. what is the best software out there? I was looking at lsp but read somewhere that they may be going away? If someone has the lowdown please enlighten me. thanks for the help.

Vixen or xLights are the two major sequencing software out there now.


Seems that people are equally split on which is better.  Sounds like your best bet is to try both, and see which one you like better.

Agreed.  Try both, then decide which one is more your style.  The good news, each of them is free.

I know this is an old topic, but I am new and interested. What did you end up choosing?

I would use Xlights. At one time there were an equal amount of people using both. Now i believe most are using xlights and the support for Xlights via Facebook, web meetings, forums and peer groups is far superior.
