F48V5 test question

Hello All,

Newbie here and just playing with my new f48v5, when I connect the srx1 to the v5 and press test on the main board or in the Falcon controllers software I get no output on the smart remote "A" (only one currently connected)?  When I press the test button on SRX1 "A" I get output?  Is this the way its supposed to be?  I thought if you enable test in the software it would give you a test pattern or the main board, but that's why I am asking because I really don't know?
