Please post your wants/suggestions on additions/changes to the FPP web interface.

I will consolidate them in the reserved posts so we can keep track of them, and what their status becomes etc.

Thanks
Myk

It would be nice to see a bar showing where a song is, similar to itunes.

I would like to see the date stamp of the last time i modified a file.

Autodetect the pi slaves and have a menu showing the,m

MASTER
    Slave 1
    Slave 2

Clicking the Slave tab opens their screen . Now i can upload mp3's and mp4's to that slave. I can assign videos to the video slots

I was going to mention RDS (like in the UI preview thread), but I see that's already on the list, and already assigned.

Installer/Updater

This would be something for initial installation.  For people that don't want to download a large(ish) pre-installed raspbian image for the player, there should be some sort of easy installer to be used.

Similarly, there should be an easy way to update the installation people are using when new features are made, or bugs are fixed.  Instead of having to re-download the entire SD card image, they should be able to easily update their PI.

Once I become more familiar with things, I wouldn't mind working on this.

Your help is much appreciated. I know you helped with Nutcracker 2 with update script and we need something similar.
Thanks.

We are gonna use the NOOBS (New Out Of Box Setup) that they have designed.  It has a fail safe that if you corrupt your sd card, all you have to do is hook up a keyboard and a monitor, and when you boot and when it tells you on the screen, hit the shift key and it will go into fail safe to let you reinstall the image in a matter of minutes without having to take the sd card out of the pi.

As far as updating etc, every time you boot it will check for a update (has to be on net) and also there will be a manual update in the GUI with some sort of notification it found a update.

Exactly the type of thing I was thinking of.  Is this on the TODO list and assigned?

Its already being worked on, I am working on the NOOBS stuff, and will prob use github to pull down the updates as David and I are using it already to keep track of stuff...
