Currently my Pi and Falcon F48 are both connected to my router via ethernet.  The router,  FPP Pi  wan0,  FPP Pi  eth0, Falcon F48  It all works great.  Problem, I am running this in my living area.  I need to move the Pi and F48 to my workshop area.  Problem, ethernet is not wired to that location and doing so is not really feasible.

My thoughts:  I noticed that on Wifi extenders, such as TP-Link AC750 WiFi Extender (RE220), there is an ethernet port.  Is it reasonable to put the extender in the shop, connect the Extender to the desktop switch with an ethernet cable and then connect my Pi and F48 to the switch with ethernet cable.

See schematic

1.  Will this work or should I use some other device.

2.  Will the extender have an IP address?  If so, should it be on the home or show subnet?  That is 192.168.0.x (home), 192.168.2.x (show).

With everything now working - after fighting with the network setup for some time - I do not want to get into a mess.  I see mention of extenders, repeaters, Mesh networks ....   Additionally, I am trying to keep costs within reason.
