Hey guys,

Already preparing for next year's lights (can't be too early right!) and decided I wanted to move from LightshowPi to a combination of Xlight (for sequences) and FPP for playing them.

I am noticing very slow response on the LED strips (connected with WLED) that I don't see when playing the sequence from Xlights directly: the lights are following the sequences but are blinking on/off during the play.

FPP is connected via ethernet, I'm getting low response times (< 2ms) and I decreased the framerate from about 40 fps down to 5 fps. Wifi is disabled to make sure I'm taking the ethernert route.

Anyone an idea?

Are you leaving the "Output to Lights" enabled in xLights while you're playing in FPP?  If xLights has Output to Lights enabled, it sends continuous data.  If a sequence isn't currently playing in xLights it outputs blanking data (zeros) which will cause blinking or flashing when you try to play from another player (FPP) at the same time
