In bench testing my new F16v4, I am noting high temps in the (TEMP1) section, 112-115F while the board is idle and not sending pixel data.

CPU hovers around 114 F.

Firmware has been updated to the latest.  Anyone else seeing temps like this?

I have a F16V4 running firmware build 7 and not having any heat issues.  It is located in cooler basement though.

Temp1 35.8*C/95*F
Temp2 34.5*C/94*F
Processor 41.7*C/107*F

I don't have a v4 to compare, but 114F is not very hot for a CPU in general.

Attached are thermal pics of F16V4 board after being powered on and idle for about 24 hours.

I would not worry about 114*F, but I would install a fan on the board if the cpu was getting much hotter than 122*F  The ideal board temp in general is 40*C/104*F.  You would want to keep most boards under 50*C/122*F for maximum life.  Anything over 60*C/140*F is cause for concern, but could be fine provided the board was designed for that much heat.  Many network servers will automatically shutdown to protect themselves between 60*C/140*F and 70*C/158*F.  I do not have detailed knowledge of the falcon, but I have troubleshooted many cpus in general reaching the 54*C-57*C/130*F-135*F range and start having issues.  My best guess is that you should keep the cpu under 122*F if possible.  If it starts running hotter than that... get a fan on it, or make sure you verify with the specs/vendor that it is an acceptable operating temperature.
