First time try to use xLights to make my controller settings.  Setting up a new layout for next year.  Does the IP for the FPP instance need to be the wlan (network connection)  or the eth0 (controller connection)?

You cannot see attachments on this board.

It will typically be the wlan0 but if the FPP device is being used solely as the player then it isn't a controller and doesn't go in that section. The controller section is for devices that are directly outputting to pixels, virtual matrices, etc.

On your controllers, you might want to set your default port brightness to something other than 100. The way the Default Port Brightness works is if you have not specifically set the brightness level for an individual model (in the controller connections area) then xLights will use your default, if you have a brightness set on a model, it will use that value when you upload the configuration.

So I can remove FPPmaster it is just outputting audio, FPP2 is just data to the two Falcon controllers, FPP6 is just outputting video.

I will change the default brightness.

Is the proxy address of the controller the wlan of the FPP?

Delete that one as well

How is it outputting video? Just playing it directly from FPP? If so, delete that one as well

Typically, yes

Thanks

So those will get the information when I use FPP connect.

Just a couple more thing to figure out on this new layout.

Looks like I am going to have to use my LOR controllers different when I switched to super strings.  Previously I had three different tree models one for each color so I also had each color on a different controller.  It will just require a reorganization of the wiring coming out of the control box. But I think it will be easier to incorporate the tree in purchased sequences now.

Will also have to figure out how to set the remote types.  I have dumb receivers, smart receivers in use and super smart receivers ordered.

Again thanks for you help.  That amount of time you and others are here to answer question quickly is appreciated.
