Usually this is due to a configuration issue or poor network connectivity. There are hundreds, if not thousands of people successfully using Multisync with remotes.

But the best method is the one that you understand and can make work for you.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

Yes, I've read many post about people running their show in a multisync-remote setup, for me that did not work, even got some high gain antennas...

Quote from: dennismccreery on December 22, 2022, 05:01:22 PMNo joy.  However, now I'm seeing a different error message:

Quote
2022-12-22 15:30:56.439 (1686) [ChannelOut] /opt/fpp/src/channeloutput/ColorLight-5a-75.cpp:280: Error getting index of eth1 interface: No such device

2022-12-22 15:30:56.479 (1686) [ChannelOut] /opt/fpp/src/channeloutput/ChannelOutputSetup.cpp:351: Determined range needed 0 - 7

Not sure where to go from here.  Rebooting fixes it.

Set the reboot delay to 30 seconds and it hasn't failed yet.  Keeping fingers crossed.

Updated to 7.4 and I still occasionally see this error.  Rebooting fixes it (reboot delay currently set to 30 sec):

2023-12-19 15:31:04.473 (1848) [General] /opt/fpp/src/fppd.cpp:706: Creation of Scheduler, Playlist, and Sequence Complete
