I have attached this complete message as a PDF with screen shots showing network config and config pages from my environment:

I have 3 FPP systems set up on their own wireless network.  I have the player and 1 remote working fine.  I am having issues getting the 2nd remote playing the show.  Accessing FPP on each system is not an issue.  But getting to the 2nd remote controller is where I am having problems.

Player - FPP PiB3+ - F16v3 - Host Name - FPPmain

remote1 - FPP BeagleBoneBlack - F8-PB - Host Name - FPPtree

remote2 - FPP PiB3 - Alphapix16 (2016 version) - Host Name FPPalpha

All FPP versions are up to date, and board firmwares are the latest available.

Player and Remote1 work great  FPP is connected to a my wifi network, and have no issues.  I can access the F16v3 controller from the multisync and proxy pages of the Player.  I can access Remote1 FPP from the multisync and proxy pages.  I can access Remote2 FPP from the multisync and proxy pages of the Player.

For Remote2, I can access the Alphapix controller config page from the Proxy page of Remote2, but not from the other FPP instances.

From the Alphapix config page, I cannot make updates to the controller.  When I try to change the Device name (which is currently set to the same as the host name of the FPP instance associated with it - this kind of bothers me), I get a 404 error, and the change is not retained by the controller.  This is an issue with trying to make any change on the controller.

I think there are a couple issues with my FPP network configuration that are causing my issues, but I am not sure what is appropriate.

Currently, all FPP instances are on 192.168.55.n - static addresses.
The F16v3 is at 192.168.44.234.
The Alphapix is at 192.168.45.244.

Are these addresses for the controllers is appropriate.  Am I running into an issue where the Alphapix has limited capabilities due to network settings.  There is no way for me to specify a gateway for the Alphapix (I dug into the config files, and the information/setting is not present).  I know I can make some changes through the physical board itself.  I believe I can connect the board directly to my network (changing the ip address to DHCP), and make changes to its settings.  Then revert back to the static IP address. and connect it back to the FPP system.  Based on the screen shot above, it appears that Alphapix is in TEST mode - 1. BLACK, and I cannot turn that off from the config page (changes are not saved).

Is this a routing table issue?
It would not surprise me that this is an Alphapix limitation - not being able to configure from a different network than the one that it is associated.

Here is the multisync page from the player (while the show is running):

I am going to try to connect the Alpahpix to my network directly to see if I can update the controller confi.

If anyone has any other ideas or recommendations for network configuration changes, please let me know.

Thanks,
Greg

You can access it but......

The AlphaPix do not fully support the Proxy Host method. You will need to use another form of routing. Either a Static Route in your Router, or in your computer. This might help?
