I just took down my lights.  Took the controller inside and wanted to change the battery because I'm having trouble with it keeping the correct time (whole other thread).  Opened the cover and I went to move the fan wire I have in it and the controller shut off.  When it came back on, no OLED.  Tried reset button, it did nothing.  The WiFi led above the OLED no longer lights up either.  It  will not connect to the internet.  I tried a factory reset, don't think it did anything.  I measure the voltage at both connections by the pixel banks and have 12v on each.  What did I do?!

Since we have no idea what controller you have or what it is mounted in, we have no way to give you any answer or idea,  Why was it powered up while you were working on it?

Sorry, its an f16v4 pre-built from Falcon.  All I did was open the cover and I moved the fan wire to the side in HOPES of it not pulling from the case.  I wasn't working on anything other then opening the case to get the new IP address after moving it (WiFi is horrible in the the new area).  Thats when everything happened. You cannot view this attachment.

It looks like your fan cable may have shorted out the boards on-board 5V regulator.  You can attempt to bypass the on-board regulator if you have a 5V power supply.  Connect it to the boards separate power input and set the switch for 5V and see if it powers up.  Make sure that  the 12V supply is unplugged when doing this test.  This should send power directly to the boards electronics, bypassing the built in regulation required when using the board on 12V.  If the board powers up, then you have your answer.  I would also remove that fans connector prior to any testing and you might want to unplug the fan and see if it powers up on 12V without it plugged in prior to any other testing.

Its fried.... I will test it with the 5v I have.  But its cooked!
From the other site someone suggested check the temp of the voltage regulator...it was hot as hell!  I've already contacted Falcon.

I would strongly suggest that you disconnect that fan NOW.  It looks like something shorted out there.

Its been disconnected and confirmed I fried the voltage regulator.  I'll need a new board.
Thanks your help.
