Kulp OctoPlus v2.3

I recently purchased the OctoPlus v2.3 from Wired Watts to replace my ColorLight card. After I connected my P5 screens I noticed that two lines of lights will display then the next two will be off. This pattern is repeated down the whole screen. I have tried different settings in FPP 6.3 but still no luck. Any ideas? The port on the P5 screen is labeled HUB75-D.

What kind of panels are they?  Are they 1/16 scan or 1/8 scan?  1/8 scan could do that if the panel doesn't support one of the interleaves that the BBB code supports.    Normally with the 1/8 scan, it's every other row being off, not groups of two, but if the panels are with a new interleave that we haven't seen before, this is certainly possible. 

Also, I'd try replacing the cable from the Octo to the panel and/or try a different port.

I have tried different cable in different ports with no difference.

You have Output by Rows and Blank between Rows checked.
Try unchecking to see if that helps.

I have tried unchecking those boxes, having the 1st check and the 2nd unchecked. I have tried two screens from a Wired Watts. I have tried new cables. I have tried different ports. I have reimaged the FPP Beaglebone Black. Nothing has changed. Figured this would be easier then the Colorlight mess.

xlights.org   click on zoom meeting along right side of screen.

I don't see how a xlights.org zoom meeting helps me with my issue. The screen displays whatever I create and send to the FPP controllers from xlights. The screens skips every other two lines. I had a ColorLight card with the same setup and it worked fine. I switched to the Kulp OctoPlus v2.3 so I could simplify the hardware and setup and it skips the lines. If this is not occurring with others then I have a bad Kulp OctoPlus or Beaglebone. I have tried different cables, ports, screens, SD card, and FPP versions.

If you don't want to try it you may be missing out.  There is an awful lot of experience available in the zoom room.  Just because the link is in the xlights page does not mean it is an xlights only room.

Because it could possibly be a configuration issue and the people there could help you figure it out.

I had a ColorLight card with the same setup and it worked fine.

A colorlight is not the same as an OctoPlus and requires a different configuration. It is possible that you have a configuration propblem.

I thought this site was to ask and answer configuration questions. I know the configuration is different with the ColorLight card. The OctoPlus uses FPP to configure as far as I can tell. I have gone through every possible configuration on FPP. With the ColorLight there was additional software used for configuration for the card. Is there the same for the OctoPlus? I think it has to do with the scan rate. FPP only allows for 1/16. The ColorLight did 1/32. Is there a cmd that could increase that rate past the listed 1/16?

It most definitely is a place to ask questions. The problem is that we don't typically get to see the whole picture in regard to your setup and when you ask a question, it might take a while to get a response for a setting to try. If that setting doesn't work (panels are tricky and there is no "Standard"), then you will have to respond and then get another suggestion. With the Zoom Room, you get an immediate response and if there are any questions or issues you will get them resolved in a matter of minutes and not days or weeks. For example, you have been fighting this problem for 12 days so far.

No, FPP handles all of the configuration.

That is not correct, FPP handles several different scan rates.

You probably do not have a 1/32 panel. Those are not very common.
