So looking at Glediator it doesnl't have e.131 output, but it does have Artnet. The Sandevice E682 does appear to receive Artnet. Does anyone know how to configure glediator to work with Sandevice E682 board?

Thanks

Pat

Thanks Sean, I think I was at that tutorial, I'm looking for the configuration to have glediator talk directly to my matrix. I have some pixels lighting up but I'm not sure how to configure Glediator  to cross universes in it's patch panel.

i talked to teh developer of glediator last spring, i suggested he make e1.31 besides artnet available. He said maybe.
Remember he made glediator to support sales of his panels (something like our p10 panels i think).

dont want to use xlights and use glediator directly, as of now it only drives artnet.

The Sandevice #682 supports Artnet. I can get some of the pixels to light up. I'm having isssues setting up the Putput and Patch panel.  I did stumble across this Pi based protocol converter that looks interesting.

I have downloaded it and configured one of my Pi's just to see what it does. There's not a lot of docs on how to configure it.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but it might help depending on what you are trying to do. There is a program named Jinx! that is much like Glediator. Jinx! will put out e.131, it will also create Glediator files that can be imported into Vixe (and Nutcracker, but I haven't tried that). I wrote a couple of scripts in Jinx! to create a candy cane effect and to create snowflakes. I did a writeup on the scripts at http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?35103-Using-Jinx!-Scripting-to-create-Scrolling-Text-in-Vixen&p=346209#post346209, but that was created before Vixen could import the Glediator format.

The thing I liked about Glediator is that it was cross platform. Jinx happens to be .exe only :(

Did some work and got the OLA translator working but only for 4 universes of artnet

Ben and I managed to get Glediator to drive a single P10 panel directly attached to FPP. It's not pretty but it worked for a first stab.

Glediator running on my laptop --> Raspberry Pi running OLA  --> FPP in Bridge mode with directly attached P10 panel.

OLA Project https://wiki.openlighting.org/index.php/OLA_Raspberry_Pi
Glediator outputs Artnet to the Pi running OLA, which is a protocol converter (Artnet to E1.31). The OLA Pi then sends Multicast data to FPP which is in bridge mode and then outputs to P10 panel.

This was just a "science" project to see if we could make it work. The P10 display had some issues with lagging pixels as well as some random pixels lighting up.

For grins I took a PI with a stock Raspberry image that has java installed and I was able to run Glediator on the desktop of the Pi. But I would never do it in a real world setting. The desktop is too slow and I could only get about 14fps out of glediator, when in my laptop I get about 25fsp.

i tested jinx files, they do work but you need to change teh extension.
jinx records glediator files with the hard coded extension *.out

so take test.out and rename as test.gled , it then works fine in xlights.

The P10 panel is attached to a B and OLA is running on a B as well. I tested running Glediator running on a B+.

Again this was just for fun.
