List of Supported Pixels

Does anybody maintain a list of types of pixels that are supported by the different types of controllers? Like the F16 supports 12v 1809, 2811 and 2812 (which I don't know is correct).  I think it would be nice to have the information in the wiki for reference. Maybe a table with:

Voltage
IC (1804, 1809, 2801, 2811, etc.)
pixels per meter or spacing
Max nodes per string
Boards supported

Just starting to think about how the information could be presented. Any suggestions?  I think DLA has a partial list in their wiki.

every string supported by DLA hardware is supported by falcon-16's

in addition you can use ws2811 12v stuff.

no 4 wire (ws2801) or 5v lights are supported at this time.

so basically

So what is the difference between the 1804 and 1809? How do those differ from the 2811? Last question for now, what new stuff do we know about that is coming that the current SSC and F16 will support?

1804 is one IC for every node
1809 is one IC for every 3 nodes. it has 9 outputs so the 3 nodes are individually addressed

i know that dave does not have any plans on supporting 4 wire lights. There has been talk about being to support 5v, we will see.

As far as the most types of lights, San Devices has the most supported: I have bolded the two types that Falcon hardware supports

The san devices has the largest supported list of leds:
GE ColorEffects pixels, 1804, 1903, 2801, 2811, 3001, 3005, 6803, 8806, 9813, and others.

I only have ws2811 and 180x stuff so i do not need any more.

How is the 2811 setup? It seems like I see it on some strings with individual control and then on some flex strips controlling 3 nodes.

The 2811 chip can only control one set of red,green and blue. The individual 5V strips you see have a 2811 built right into the LED. The 12V strips have one 2811 that controls three leds and all 3 LEDS are the same color since a single 2811 can only provide control for one set of red, green blue. I here Ray is working on a strio that can receive 12V or 5 V and will be individual pixel control. There will be four pads to solder wire to, 12V, 5V, GND and data. They are basically the 5V strips that have 2811 built into LED but with a 12V bus that has a regulator (12V to 5V) to drive the pixels.

We used the above 5V flexstrip cut into eight  1/2 meter strips  (30 nodes per 1/2  meter) connected to the F16.

I bought two sets of Todd's and had no issues with them.  I think after the freight from China and Todd's presale it will be really close, and Todd's do not come from Ray.

Now I am reading about a WS2812B, which I am told is also compatible with the Falcon gear via other boards and it's basically two 5050 led's so it's brighter and controlled by the WS2811.  Might be good for the in pex displays a few of us do, but I was happy with the plain Ray provided $30.00 ws2811 flex strip for some arches in plain ole Lowes/Home Depot 3/4" pex tubing.

Anyone have those to test with the WS2812B and know for sure?

Now in another thread I was told it was the other way around on the TM1804 being 3 per and TM1809 being 1 per.

TM1804 only has three outputs (red, green, and blue). They are most used in pixel strings. I have never seen an 1804 strip. TM1809 have 9 outputs (3 sets of red,green and blue). they are used on strips and each pixel is addressable.  WS2811 are very similar to TM1804 they only have three outputs and are used for both strips and strings. When used for strips the three outputs are connected to three led's in parallel so each chip controls three leds with the same three outputs, so all leds will have same color.
