SPD6803 direct from Pi?

I was wondering if Falcon Player has ever had a library created to drive 6803 pixels. Using the same outputs as the Pi uses for WS2801 would allow me to use my rPi-28D to control old LOR strips from the "2801" output as well as 2811 series pixels.

Not currently, but I want to add support for Henner's "spixel" library which supports 16 strings of WS2801, APA102, or LPD6803 on the Pi.

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet though.  I also need to upgrade the rpi_ws281x library to pull in bug fixes and support for the newer Pi ZeroW.

No problems Chris. As long as it's done by tomorrow it's all good ;)
In all seriousness I don't need it any time in the near future but if it got added in the New Year it would suit me fine.
A single string on the same output as what is currently used for the 2801 is what I hope can be managed so it maintains compatibility with my current board. If I knew how to do any coding I'd have a fiddle myself as I know the 2801 is almost simple enough to program with a couple of toggle switches. I imagine the other 4 wire lights are also reasonably similar as they take the critical timing requirements away.
