When I choose E1.31-Multicast on my FPP Output setup it works on the test mode.  But when I change to E1.31-Unicast and put t the IP address of my F16v3 it does not work on the test mode.  What did I do wrong?  Do I need to make other setting changes?  What is the advantages and disadvantages using Multicast versus Unicast?

Are you trying to use WiFi possibly and have both eth0 and wlan0 on the same subnet?  This could possibly cause issues.

Are the E1.31 universe counters going up on the F16v3?

I mean, did you configure an IP address for both eth0 and wlan0 on the FPP Network configuration screen?  If so, do both IP's match in the first 3 digits?  Or, maybe you configured WiFi to talk to your wireless network and also have the ethernet cable plugged in at the same time.

On the F16v3 main status screen, it can show you counters of the number of packets it has received for each universe. Are those counting up?

Yes, I did configure both see this post of my screen print with different issue: http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,8797.msg82218.html#msg82218
How do I disable the WI-FI?  I did plug the Ethernet wire to the FPP Pi3.
Eth0 ip setting is for the F16v3 board ip address and wlan0 ip address is for the FPP ip address.  Is this correct?
I found discovered pages this.  I only use 1 FPP at 192.168.0.5

MrTeaIOT

I delete the wlan0 setting.  The IP on the 192.168.0.254 on eth0 works.  How do I communicate with the Falcon F16v3 board?  Where to set the IP at, beside the board?  I got the board set ip to 192.168.0.254.  The FPP suppose to be 192.168.0.5.  How the FPP know to communicate with F16v3?  Where is the IP setting on the FPP for the F16v3 setting?  I am confused.

There is a very good video on the xlights page about this.

Did not have time to find the link earlier

MrTeaIOT

If the wireless WI-FI is one when I remove the RJ-45 off the Pi3 FPP it does not find the webpage of FPP.  So how do I configure the IP for FPP and F16v3 so both can be accessible via same PC and has internet access too.
