Folks:

Hiya. I'm going to stick my toe into these waters. Bought a Rev B, a powered USB hub, and an 8 gig stick and 8 gig card.

I have a question though: will the current (or soon-to-be-released) software distro include the ability to support dual Ethernet ports? I'd like to run the E1.31 portion of the show wired while doing FPP maintenance through the web page via my wireless network.

Possible?

Thanks.

I am new to this also, but I am pretty sure that that is what most people are already doing today (and it is my plan as well).  So you should be good-to-go.

Yes.  That's already supported by manually configuring the wireless network and selecting "eth0" for the E1.31 output device.

In the upcoming release, no manual configuration of the wireless network will be needed.  It will be in the web UI.  Plug the Pi into a wired interface, pull up the web UI and configure wireless, then you can move it to have the wired portion be connected to your show network and not home network and you can use the wireless to "talk" to the Pi, but no show data will go there.

Yep I can confirm it works that way. Manual setup is not too hard but the devs are making it easier.
