Having some issues getting remote falcon to work.

Running the latest and greatest FPP on an RPI3. Fresh install. Installed plugin fresh. Connected it to Remote falcon. Key installed.  Remote falcon will get the play list no problem. So it sees my FPP. I can also restart the listener. I have it set so that the schedule can be interrupted.

It's set up with a playlist that isn't scheduled.  You can add songs to the que. However, the songs never play from that que.

I have tried it, running a scheduled play list.
I have tried it just running a sequence with no playlist.
I have even  tried it with a scheduled playlist even though your not supposed to.

I messed around with this for a while. No matter what I do, the que'd songs never play. I have messed with remote falcon. I had a custom visitor screen, I also tried a default template. I have probably tried a multitude of settings on the site.

The only other plugin I have installed is for the VAST, FM modulator module.

What am I missing here?

Thanks,

JonD

Create normal playlist and schedule.

In lead-in section of normal playlist..
Insert FPP Command Remote Falcon - Restart Listener. (not required but can clear gremlins)
Issue FPP Command Remote Falcon - Turn Viewer Control On

You cannot view this attachment.

In lead-out section of normal playlist...
Issue FPP Command Remote Falcon - Turn Viewer Control Off

You cannot view this attachment.

Create RemoteFalcon playlist with no lead-ins or lead-outs.  This is the playlist you use to synchronize with RF and the website will display.  Normal playlist will play unless someone votes on RemoteFalcon site.

If you're still having issues, post print screens of your playlists, Remote Falcon settings (don't post your key)

Perfect. Thank you. I looked, and I couldn't find this.

Thanks you

No Dice. I did all this and it didn't work. I removed remote falcon. And went in a manually removed the settings file. And reinstalled, but it didn't work. I have no clue why this will not work.

Is that what you really want? With this setting, when a player selects a song, whatever song is playing will immediately stop and the chosen song will play and then when finished, the first song will resume. With this not enabled, when someone chooses a song, it will be played when the currently playing song is finished.

This isn't mandatory in the scheduled playlist and isn't recommended to be in the scheduled playlist. If people are choosing songs at the time your playlist is supposed to end, your show will not end until there are no more people choosing songs.

Can you start a playlist and then choose a song. Once that is done, download the Remote Falcon Log and post it.

Okay,

It's working now. The only thing i did, was set the time correctly on FPP.  It was set for September. After that, it's working. Not sure why that would do it, but it did.

Settings aside... just want to get it working, and worry about what settings do what later.

But it seems to be working now.

Thanks,

dreiman

If your FPP is correctly configured and has network access, you shouldn't need to set the day/time.

Glad it is working!

It seems like I had that issue as well when NTP was not updating properly a while back.  I assumed it was because the Remote Falcon site is SSL, and SSL typically requires the local computer time to be in the ballpark, but I did not look into it.
