Currently have my display running through E4V3 not at capacity. I also have a spare Pi cap and Pi4 and was wondering the best solution for running remote display to compliment my main display. I have the F4V3 hardwired from a Pi 3 and is working fine. My question is what is the best way to utilize the Pi cap so that I do not have to purchase additional boards ? Not sure if it is possible to leave the F4V3 hard wired and connect to the Pi cap via wifi ?   Any suggestions.

Thanks

So from your limited description, I'm guessing your Pi3 is running as an FPP show player and sending e1.31 data to the F4V3?  If that is the case, you can connect the additional Pi to the 2nd Ethernet port on the F4V3.

With that said, its not recommended to use a Pi4 with a PiCap.  The Pi4 requires more power and runs hotter.  You'll be pushing the power limits of the PiCap voltage regulator and risk things getting really hot with the Cap blocking airflow to the Pi4.   You might consider swapping them so the Pi4 is your FPP Master show player and the Pi3 is the FPP Remote with PiCap.

thanks pixel puppy  I have no problem swapping the pi's .  Would both pi's need to have fpp software or would the pi cap just act as the F4V3, as controller only ?

Both Pi's would need to run FPP software.  Its the same software for both, but they would operate in different "modes" which you configure in the User Interface after installing the software
