Test mode on falcon

Hello,
I again am struggling getting my renards to work with my falcon f16v3  In the serial outputs tab of the user interface if I have port 2 assigned to universe 1 the Renard lights up all channels in white test mode. If I assign port 2 to universe 2 the ren no longer reacts in test mode. Is this correct? this is the second year I have owned the falcon and still I have not been able to use it as I can not seem to make it work with my 5 ren ss24s. I do want to add pixels but do not want to abandon the controllers and props I have used for years. Any input on this would be appreciated as the hours I have spent on this is bordering on insane. I have watched every video that remotely applies to this issue and not much success. I'm using a laptop and vixen 3 software. Thank you in advance

The preview now works. As well as the test mode but  I have my ren ss24 configured as channel 1 on the falcon. Things are working but the ren is super sluggish. Any effect I program in smaller than 750 milliseconds simply go undone. Any ideas ?
