What is the easiest way to upgrade from FPP 4 to 7.3?

Poporacer

Go to the Help>About page and then in the Upgrade OS box, select the FPP 7.3.1 OS, Let it run, don't exit the window, it could take 15 minutes or so...Once it is done, do it again, it shouldn't take as long...seriously, you have to do it twice if you aren't on ver 5, Then you should do the Upgrade FPP and you will be good to go.

You might have to install an EEPROM file. What kind of cape do you have?

Can you post a screenshot of that message? And then a screenshot of the Help>Cape Info page? (screenshot and not picture of your screen please)

No, you are not upgrading the firmware!
You want to upgrade the OS. This is the file you want
https://github.com/FalconChristmas/fpp/releases/download/7.3/BBB-7.3.1_2023-11.fppos

And there are instructions in the Manual here: https://falconchristmas.github.io/FPP_Manual.pdf#page=139

It looks like you might have your network configured incorrectly as well since it can't see the internet...Can you post your network settings as well?
