I have two f16v4s in my show, and they keep freezing every night. This seems to be an issue whenever they are hooked up to Pi's running FPP, because I have not had any issues when controlling them from my PC through xlights. Every night, the lights are supposed to shut off at 11pm, but when i see them in the morning, these two trees with v4s are stuck on the sequence that they are running when they are supposed to stop. We do leave everything powered constantly for the time we have the lights up, but it doesnt cause any issues with the v3s in the show.Every morning I have to send a reboot command to the v4s and I usually send another one right before the lights come on in the evening in the hopes that they won't freeze during our nighttime shows. Has anyone else ad this issue? Is there anything I can do? Why is it only the v4s that experience this issue?

I have another tree in my office running just a simple pattern that I'm using a spare pi with FPP connected to a f16v4 to run it and it can't even make it throughout the whole work day without freezing.

Have you checked for firmware updates for the v4s?  I did not have that issue, but I upgraded the firmware on one of my units and my lights on that controller started working.

Upgrade the Falcon to firmware 30, upgrade the FPP device to 7.3.6

I have the latest FPP version, but the v4s were at an old build. I updated them and will monitor how they do over the next couple days. Thanks

Hey, can you update the community as to whether or not the firmware and software upgrades fixed your freezing issue?

The F16v4s had some issues with lights freezing on, and the controller not responding  (Usually in the color pattern of the song it was playing when it froze)  If you power cycled the controller it would fix it, and week later it would happen again.  Firmware build 30 seems to have resolved that issue.

I apologize, I haven't figured out to navigate to my own posts and forgot to come back here. Updating the version seemed to fix the issue because I didn't have any freezing or locking for the rest of the time we ran the show.
