LOUIS

Hi
I tried to set the pixel Chanel on a F48V4
I set on Board configuration : 8 smart receiver Chains
When I try to set :Port configuration I need to set The 8 first port with 480 pixel starting Channel 1up to channel11520
Then I want to set next 8 ports from port 9 to port 16 in need to set n768 pixel starting channel 11521 to channel 29952. but when I enter 768 in the pixel count for port 14 15 16 I have a red message I cannot set more than 480 ?????
It happens when I enter start channel 23041 the red message appears when I enter start channel 23041 it seems channel 23041 is non accepted
Any Help
Thank
Best regards from France

Sounds like you are manually setting everything on the F48.
In xLights, use the visualizer to assign everything to their ports, close the visualizer, and use FPP Connect to push the config to the F48.

LOUIS

Hi
Thank you for your answer Can you explain in details the way to do it in Xlights I tried to find the visualizer in Xlights and I did find the method to get it
Sorry I'm not top I always set my falcon F16V3 manually and never had to face this pb, in the add for F48V4 it is said that when the controller is set in 8 smart receiver chains then every port support 1024 pixels so I don't understand why setting 768 it doesn't work. I took this F48 to replace a F16V3 with one extension board and I set it the same way splitting the 1024 pixel between the controller and the extension board and it work with no pb when setting with the same figures on the board, it seems strange for me not to get the same result with F48. I've got 2 of them somme years ago and I wanted to use them this year, but I restarted with the F16V3, I will try to get a got Knowledge of the F48 next year I uploaded the manual and will study it
thank a lot answering my topic
best regards from France

]If you want to let xLights manage your controller(s), this is HIGHLY recommended, in xLights in your controller configuration,
Set the name to something meaningful
]Set the Vendor, Model and Variant to match your controller (i.e Falcon, Model to F16V3 and Variant to Expansion Board + No Serial Port Remotes
Set the IP address of the controller
Set the protocol to DDP if the controller supports it.
Set the  to 1 (or whatever start Id you want, they don't have to start at 1, but should be unique for each controller
If the controller is FPP based, then set the active status to xLights Only.
Check the Auto Layout Models
Check the Auto Size
Check the Full xLights Control
Set the default brightness
Save your settings

Once that is configured, you can use the Visualizer to put your models on the ports that you are going to use, make sure you have them assigned in the order that you are going to connect them. For the models that will be connected to Smart Receivers, right click on the model after it has been assigned to the correct port and then select which receiver it will be connected to. The Smart Receiver designation will be color coded.
DO NOT assign controller, start channels, or such from the Layout page. Xlights will manage that.
Then Save your Controller settings and your Layout settings. On the Controllers tab, select your controller and then click on the Upload inputs then upload outputs (or just outputs if the inputs are greyed out).
That is it, you do not configure the ports/channels in your controller, xLights will handle that.
Then go to FPP Connect and upload your configuration in your current configuration, you want to set the UDP option to all.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.
