I am new to this and have a Falcon 16v4 board and was hooking up lights to test them and tried connecting two strings together and could not get them to work when using test mode. Is there a limit to how many you can connect together? Can you connect more that 100 in series? I thought you could? what is that limit?

Could not get them to work is pretty vague...Did none of them light up? Did they light up the wrong colors? Did only a part of the strings light up?

The limit for "controlling" the pixels is usually around 1024 per port (with some variants) but the port cannot power that many. I have a feeling that you haven't configured the controller to output the number of pixels you want?
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

There is no hard rule to how many lights can be connected together.  Many variables with the lights.  For example, I have some light strings that block power at the end of the string.  You have to install a power tee in between them, or the second string does not work.  5v vs 12v, different type of lights, different wiring, and etc.

I would guess the same as Poporacer.  Under the output setting on the controller, check to see how many pixels the port is set for.  If you have 100 lights, and the port is set for 50... only 50 lights are going to be on.
