running event date from within xlights sequence.

I am trying to run the event date plugin to display imediately on a matrix, from a sequence on xlights.
Have set the channel to 1 for the sake of testing. In fpp I have set command preset  channel to 1. The preset slot is 4.
I am using run event date command.
In xlights I created channel block with channel 1.  Dmx setting ch 1 is set to 4. output to lights on. I am attempting to send data directly
to fpp(latest Version) across the network. Data does seem to be arriving at the fpp but nothing happens.
Any help please.

Have you installed all 3 required plugins and configured them? There is a Simple Countdown plugin that does the same thing but is much easier to configure.
