What is the wiring layout for the K8-PB?  Wanting to run some lor controllers off of one of the connectors.

Disregard.  Looks like the first two RJ45 are configurable and the third is a differential port.  There's now a user manual for it:  https://kulplights.com/manuals/F8-PB-Manual.pdf

For the K8-PB, you need to use the ttys pins next to the RJ45's.   The +/-/gnd pins should be labelled on the board.

Thanks

I will hook it up there.  I must have misunderstood the manual.

Kensington Graves

It's confusing.  The website description say you have to use the header for DMX, but the manual says two of the RJ-45s are configurable for different protocols.

K-State Fan

I just set it here?

Hmm... the tab on there is labelled F8-PB.   That's different than a K8-PB.   Can you verify what you have?   Double check the actual physical board to see what is printed on it.

I will have to pull the board out tomorrow afternoon I can not see it now. It was ordered as a K8-PB Dec 2021

Looking at the F8-PB Manual i am sure it is not a F8.  I was hooking up my LOR controller to the ttyS2 pins and it does not look like the F8 has those.

Yep.   That's definitely a K8-PB, not F8.   In that case, it would be ttyS2 on those pins, but I believe it should be DMX Open and not DMX Pro.

That said, it looks like the wrong eeprom in on the board so it thinks it's a F8.  That will likely cause different issues with ports not working properly or the push buttons not working.   Send me an email (sales at kulplights com) and I'll get the proper eeprom to you.

Luckily I had not had any issues so far. I have not tried any of the push buttons.

Thanks

I get this error now.

Now that it knows that it's a K8, you need to go into xLights and make sure it's set to be a K8-B and not an F8.   Then repush the config.
