My F16V3 quit connecting to my pi. I then tried an ethernet connection and that worked. All of a sudden the network stopped working that was directly connected to my router. I now get 0.0.0.0 as my IP address and the F16V3 has an uptime of 0. I reinstalled the firmware and nothing has changed. Any ideas on how I can get it working again?

Thanks!

If the F16v3 has an IP of 0.0.0.0, then it is set for DHCP and it is unable to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server.
Off hand, I don't know if the uptime of 0 (and I assume you mean it is not incrementing over time) is indicative of an additional problem.

Thanks.

I noticed when I removed the sd card from the controller it had a interfaces.wlan0 file under a config directory. I wonder if there is a way to reset the config via the sd card.

Also, I can't get to the menu to change the network. It is basically frozen on that screen

If it does not have an IP address, you are not going to be able to get to the GUI.  You first need to determine why it is not getting an IP address.  If it is connected to your router, assuming that your router is acting as your DHCP server, the F16v3 should be getting an IP address from the router.  When you connect the F16v3 to your router, does the Ethernet port on the F16v3 and the router both indicate that there is a connection?  Note, if you connect a PC directly to the F16v3, neither one will get an IP address.
Without looking it up, I recall that factory default on the F16v3 is to be set for DHCP, so you may want to factory reset it.

I've tried (and previously had working) an ethernet cable directly connected to my router but it no longer works. I am assuming I may have set it to DHCP but possibly fat fingered the DHCP server. Even if it didn't get an address I would expect it to get to the menu so that I could change it. Either way it would probably be better to factory reset and then upgrade back to 2.59. Thanks for your response.

Doing a factory reset allowed me to get to the network menu and modify the settings to a static ip (my raspberry pi in the same box)! I am back up and running. BTW, a factory reset didn't reset the firmware like I thought it would. It only reset the other settings. Thanks so much!!

Now when it comes up after turning off it is back to the same. I can't get to the menu and I have to factory reset, then set to static IP. I can ping it from my local mac and from the pi but can't get to the UI and nothing is playing. Even lynx installed on the pi (network connected to eth0 on controller) can't pull up anything like it was able to before.
