Would it be possible to make som groups in the scheduler?

I have now scheduled something for halloween, maybe I would like to use it next year.
If I could group it, and deactivate the group?

brg Tue.

You mean a playlist? Yes, you can have multiple playlists and set them to different time periods. How do you envision a group working?

tusa

I have tried with a playlist, but in the playlist I can't adjust how long time the sequence should run, before a new one takes over?

Poporacer

A playlist is just a group of songs. You have to schedule a playlist, and you can set start and stop days and times for a playlist.
This might help?

What do you need a group for I have all kinds of schedules in my master?  Some (I use for testing) are several years old.

That is true. The length of the sequence is whatever length it is. Did you make a bunch of long sequences and then just swap them out on demand? So I think you are asking if you can group sequences?

tusa

The reason why, is that my christmas schedule and for halloween, consists many sequences.
It nog problem to schedule, but for overview purpose, it would be nice, that I could group my shceduled sequences.
If it should work in a playlist, I need to calculate the length, so it have the right length to be played at the exact time.
If I had the option to group my sequenses in the schedule, then I don't have to make the right length, I can just loop the short sequences if I want.

It sounds like you are trying to schedule a show to start at exact times, like a movie theatre.  However viewers do not show up for a show at exact times.  They arrive at random times and typically (from my experience and also talking to lots of other lighters) watch 3-4 songs and then move on to another show or to some other activity.  Most experienced lighters just put their sequences in a playlist and schedule it to run on repeat from start time to end time.  It is your show and you can schedule as you wish, but always consider your audience to get the best response.

It's your show and you should setup it up how you want to, but my traffic appears to be similar to Jim's.  Most cars will not sit in front of a dark house and wait 15 minutes for a show to start.  They will just drive on.

The average car watches 3-4 songs and off they go.  A few will stay half a song and others will stay out there all night and come back several times a season, but I think you will find trying to schedule times disappointing.  There are nights that only or 3-4 cars come by the entire night, and there are nights things are lined up a 1/4 mile back.  You just never know what the turn out will be.  A continuous loop keeps the line moving.  If busy, they can see things from a distance as they inch their way up, and then won't stay long in front if things are busy to allow others to see.

Nothing wrong with expermenting with schedules, but I would have a backup plan just in case.
