Quote from: Poporacer on January 08, 2026, 10:32:58 PMI didn't say add, I said work with, not the same thing.Quoteworking with timing tracks can be a real pain in the butt. How is it a pain in the butt? You right-click and add timing track.
Quote from: Poporacer on January 08, 2026, 10:32:58 PMIt only has to be done once in the layout section and takes less than a minute. Then it can be used in every sequence both new and edited from that point on. I didn't forget the need to configure the control channel but you are correct, I should have mentioned that.QuoteI create a single channel propThis is not needed when using a Timing Track Trigger
You forgot that you need to configure the control channel and make sure that the control channel doesn't change if you add/delete move props around.
Quote from: Poporacer on January 08, 2026, 10:32:58 PMQuoteand add it to the sequence. This is not needed either
Quote from: Poporacer on January 08, 2026, 10:32:58 PMQuoteYou need to create a timing block for each time you want the preset to trigger which can be a bit of a pain and then enter the EXACT preset name into the block for each one. That isn't that hard really.
Quote from: Poporacer on January 08, 2026, 10:32:58 PMOn this we can fully agree.QuoteIf I want multiple trigger points, I simply cut and past the first one I created everywhere else I want it to run.
But if you find it easier, then that is the best way for you.

Quote from: tbone321 on January 07, 2026, 09:24:42 PMYou go into the channel outputs page from the channel inputs/outputs section in FPP, then select other from the buttons at the top. Select add and in the type select control channel. From there, you pick a channel that you want to use as a trigger, the specific value to trigger the command, and the command preset that you want to trigger. It is actually MUCH easier using the FPP Command timing track!
