Hey guys,

How do you set up lights on each of the ports? for some reason if i say light up port 1 it keeps lighting up 6 different props. this is starting to drive me crazy lol

A port is a physical connection to the controller.  If you have those 6 props all connected one to the other you have 6 props on one port.  Activate that port and you get 6 props lit up.  Each prop has model that shows how many lights and what their physical placement is.  Can you just turn on one model?

so on the main board there is 12 connectors to hook up to each board (example the first one is 1-4 and i hook up a 4 port receiver board to it that should give me 4 ports correct? ) so on a Receiver board there is 4 ports i have 1 prop on each of the connectors. there is 4 candy canes ( on what i believe to be port 1-4 ) but if i only turn on port 1 i still get other lights coming on. i hope this makes sense

You have surpassed my knowledge level since I do not use any F48s as I prefer to keep my controllers near my props.

What exactly do you mean by lighting up Port1??  Are you talking about test mode?  Pixels are lit up by channels and those channel numbers are sent to a specific port.  What props are you connecting and how many pixels do they have?  You may want to attach a capture of your F48's port definition screen so we can see how you have defined the outputs.

Yes, by default the controllers come set for very basic channel configurations and they overlap. Did you configure your controller in xLights and then upload your configuration?
