Wanted to let you now about a new web app I created that will allow you and your viewers to control FPP from anywhere! As the owner, you will be able to customize what your viewers see as well as how they control your show. Key features include your own website to share with your viewers, a customizable viewer page, allowing viewers to start playlists (either on demand or jukebox style),  testing playlists and scripts, and accessing your local FPP from anywhere! Head on over to Remote Falcon and sign up to try it out! It's 100% free!

I'm intrigued, but it potentially opens up a huge security hole.  It might be a good idea to comment on how you are keeping it secure.

Absolutely! Here is a brief write-up on my site about what Remote Falcon uses to talk to your FPP. Security is always a concern, which is why I leave everything in the hands of the user regarding when it is on or off and the remote URL that gets created is never exposed to anyone but the owner.

Can you post some screenshots of the viewer interface and display owner interface?

On a related topic, it would be nice if we could get the various developers of this type of control interface site together instead of having 4-5 implementations out there with varying functionality.  I am all for giving FPP users options to do what they want, but I wonder how much we could accomplish if we pooled our development resources and focused on making one viewer interface site.

The information on this page http://driftwoodlightshow.com/resources/remoteFpp.html just seems to do port forwarding exposing your fpp web page to the public internet.   Are you sure this is good to share without discussing the risk?
