I am adding 2 GE spinarchy minis this season and they are 822 pixels each, very close to 800, can I fudge it on 2 or do I need to split onto 4 ports.

thanks

I would certainly try it on two but be prepared to do power balancing if needed on both of them.  To me the higher the pixel count in a small area the lower the brightness.  I would be no higher than 20% brightness and would certainly try 10%.  You might be surprised, but it could go either way.  No penalty for trying.

I run my show at 30% anyway may try the spinarchy at 20-25%. Anything between 300-600 I power balance. I am planning on setting up the spinarchy to balance at 500 and power inject at the end. If I use 2 ports I can just power balance both halves, come to think of it that might be easier. I just talked my self into using 2 ports, thanks for making me think about power :)

So, I don't think it will drop you down to 20 FPS the second you go over 800. I think once you pass 800 you are exceeding the comfortable speed of the port. And even if you don't get 40 fps, I think it will only drop a little, like you may get 38 fps or something.  I ran 1000 off of one port, and it didn't seem to drop in FPS, that I could see. Or maybe I couldn't tell the difference.

However, I opted to split everything to different ports. I have nothing over 800 on any port. I have everything broken up to make it more logical for setup and power handling.
