Virtual Display not working?

I'm running the latest FPP (8.x-master-287-g03fbc510) and cannot get the HTTP Virtual Display to work.  I've followed the instructions as shown the youtube video, but that was using FPP 6.x.  Have things changed since then in regards to set up?  It seems like no, but no matter what options I try, I just get a blank screen in the virtual display.  Any pointers are appreciated!

No, but FPP 8.x is still in Beta and there are some things that might not work, but it is people like you that find the bugs since it is almost impossible to test every little aspect of FPP. I filled out a bug report and it will be looked at.

Thanks

Confirm not working on Pi5 V8. Works fine on Pi4 V7.5. (Setup the same way)

Has this issue been resolved? I have 2 Virtual Displays on two separate RPi4's running FPP 7.5 and everything works fine with videos playing full screen on each Virtual Display. If I upgrade either RPi4 FPP7.5 to any version of FPP8 (I tried them all from 8.0 to 8.5.1 using the ffpos files) then instead of the videos displaying full screen as they do with FPP7.5, instead I get two small copies of the same video displaying in the upper left corner of the screen with a wavy line going through each video. If I go back to 7.5 everything works great.

I also noticed that in the FPP Channel Outputs screen, in FPP7.5 the fields displayed for Other Outputs (where the Virtual Display is configured) show a field labeled "Pixel Size" which is set to a value of 1, but in any version of FPP8.x that field is missing from the page yet in the FPP8.x manual it does show that field on the screen on pg. 182. Could that be a possible related factor with the problem I am experiencing?

What "Device" do you have it set for?  Make sure you use HDMI-A-1 and not fb0.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I will have to re-upgrade the FPP to 8.5.1 and re-test. My guess is that it was still set to fb0 after the previous upgrades as that is what it is currently set to in FPP7.5. I will make sure to set to HDMI-A-1 this time and will let you know. Thanks.

HDMI-A-1 did the trick. I upgraded FPP7.5 to 8.5.1 using the Pi-8.5.1_2025-02.ffpos file and then changed the Device: setting from fb0 to HDMI-A-1 and the videos are displaying properly on the (2) 43" Outdoor TV's that are part of my show. Thank you very much for your quick reply to my original posting.
