Can anyone advise on why my Falcon F16V4 keeps freezing when either in test or playing a simple sequence,  could it be my ethernet connection as I use a pc via wifi to ethernet.

Thankyou

rudybuddy

Are you running test from f16 or computer?
Are you running the sequence from FPP or computer?

More details on your setup would be helpful.

Many shows are completely wireless, but you typically can not use wifi to play a show directly from Xlights to the F16v4.  To run the show via wifi, it involves a SD card installed locally, all the files are transferred to the SD card, and then told via wifi when to run them.

Are you having the issue using the F16v4 test function, or are you seeing the issue testing from xlights?

HI
About to give up with Pi and falcon this year. Bitterly disappointed that despite many hours of trying to get FPP to run on a Pi4 all I get are warning errors, unrecognised usb, corrupt file, error 404, and a lot of other barriers that make me think its not worth it.
Been through video tutorials and basically nothing. I am still stuck on almost the beginning and cant get any further despite going through many other problem sections.
I cant even get a wi fi connection to work. I have superfast fibre and as far as I can see there are no network conflicts.
Why cant there be a whole board that is plug and play rather than spend time setting up and having all of these issues. I know there are Pi s with FPP loaded if you can get one but could there not be a Falcon board with this preloaded too.
I am beginning to lose interest in even bothering to try again because of the wasted hours.

Have you been to the zoom room to ask for help?  There are people there almost all the time that could help you.

Well since you only have posted 2 questions and none of them related to these errors you mentioned or even described how things are connected, it is hard to really help you out. Don't get disappointed. It is a bit of a learning curve but will be well worth in in the end. I would suggest jumping in the Zoom Room for more thorough and complete answers.

Because there are probably thousands of ways that a person can have their home network configured, a million ways someone can incorporate a controller into their network and another million ways that someone could use the controllers... Jump in the Zoom Room and they will get you straightened out.
If to err is human, I am more human than most people.

You have an excellent resource available to you in the zoom room.  Many of us have wasted countless hours trying to figure out or fix something and then visited the zoom room only to get everything sorted in short order.  Welcome to the club, now get to the zoom room.
