Hi I hope someone can help me on this technical Issue ;) see attachments..

The setup is two P3 outdoor LED Module 64x64 (16 Scan) running on a Pi4 with FPP

It run fine when I use a fine when connecting it via a ColorLight E80 card, but this tribble cramped issue (Image 2) occurs when connecting it with an adafruit bonnet and these settings.

Is it because of the 1/8 scan vs. 1/16 scan mismatch  ? If so  I haven't been able to find any outdoor 1/8 modules, so is there a way to enable a 16 scan option to FPP ? currently running 5.5v

It could be the scan thing. Did you try installing and running the software from the adafruit tutorial? Does it work when running that?

It looks like 64x64 panels using the adafruit bonnet need a jumper soldered in.
  • Pi GPIO #24 - Matrix E (address E) pin
This pin is part of the 1->32 multiplexing circuitry. Used for 64-pixel tall displays only. Requires minor soldering, explained on next page.
Did you try using a jumper?

Laulund

Thanks for your suggestion Mike ;)

I did try with and without soldering the Jumper, same result.

I will try the software from the adafruit tutorial and see how that works out.

The solution was to play around with the Panel Interleave, in my case Stripe worked.
