Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to get my Player Pi to play a .fseq while my Remote Pi plays a slideshow of images using the "picture frame" feature. However, the Remote Pi is only displaying the first image and then does not continue with the playlist. I was told in the fb group that a Remote Pi would ignore the Player Pi's .fseq and schedule, which is why I'm only seeing the first image.

How would I get the Remote Pi to display multiple images and follow the slideshow I've defined?

Player Pi files:
test.fseq
test.mp3

Remote Pi files:
slide1.png, slide2 .png , slide3.png,  ...
slideshow1: 1. Image entry, 2. Break entry (5 sec), 3. Image entry., 4. Break entry (5 sec), ...

Player Pi Playlist:
  • Start test.fseq and test.mp3
  • Command entry: Remote_start_playlist: slideshow1

Ok I tried something else... I made both of the Pi's "Players" instead of one Player and one Remote. And with the same division of files as listed in my original post, the slideshow worked...

But I'm not sure why this worked and the Remote setup didn't?? Also, would this cause any issues with my .fseq (only located on one Pi) being connected to the network with two Player Pis?

When FPP is in remote, it will be looking for sync messages from the player. Since your playlists are not doing the same thing, there is probably confusion on the remote FPP. By putting them in player mode, they can both do their own thing.

Got it, then I'll put them both in Player mode, with one Pi running the light controllers output data with the .fseq and the other one running the image playlist to HDMI. Thanks for your reply!
