I have a 16V4 with two smart remote receivers. When I open the controller from xLights it shows the two remote receivers as 17A - 20A and 17B - 20B just fine. But when I go to visualize it doesn't show any of the remote ports, Also in layout it is unable to map the props connected to those remote ports so I have a big mess. It won't allow me to upload anything and when I open the controller from xlights and select settings normally I can click on pixels and see where everything is located, but it won't let me do that.

Did you tell xLights that you wanted to use the Remote receivers? In xLights, the variant should be 16 Local Ports + 2 Receiver Chains

Do you have the Controller set to Auto Layout Models, Full xLights Control, and Auto Size?

I am not sure what you mean by that? Screenshots might help

Okay forgot I needed to tell xLights I had two remote receivers. That fixed part of it now I need to figure out how the ports get assigned as A & B. Currently they are numbered 17 - 24 and I know I have to get them configured as 17A -20A and 17B - 20B.
Thanks so far that helped a bunch.

Ok figured how to go into output settings and get the remote receivers set up as 17A - 20A and 17B - 20B. But visualize still show the ports as 17 - 24. If I upload it resets the ports to 17 - 24 as shown in output settings.

In the visualizer, move the prop to the port that you want to control it.  Then right click on the prop in the visualizer and select smart remote in the dropdown.  From there, you can select the smart remote you have it connected to, either A or B in your case.

Jack S

The visualizer won't let me move any props that are not mapped and I don't know how to get them mapped. Yes in controller settings I have auto layout checked.

What does mapped mean? That is vague and could mean a dozen things. Please post screenshots. You can't use the quick reply to add attachments unless you go to the preview reply first. And please post screenshots and not pictures of your screen.

Do you have auto size and full xLights control checked as mentioned?

Okay thanks for the help. I finally got everything working.  In layout I had to manually set the props connected to the smart receivers to the correct ports like 17A and 17B.
