F16v4 Ports vs Universe Configuration Question

Hello All;

I am planning to build an LED wall which will fit 196 pixel strings which will make 5-meter wide.  The length (height) of each string is different from each other.  This would mean that the number of pixels of each string horizontally is different from the others (see Figure 1).  Now, if I would need to have 196 strings, does this mean I need to assign each string to each F15v4 port?  If that would be the case I might be needing at least four (4) F16v4 with two (2) expansion cards (equivalent to 48 ports) each to give me 192 ports (4 x 48 ports)?  Can I maximize each port in such a way I can combine shorter pixel strings into one (1) F16v4 port?  I haven't had any idea if these configurations I have in mind would make sense.  See Figures 2 and 3 for reference.  I would really appreciate it so much if there would be some one who can give me light on this.

First off, you do not assign universes to ports, the way you have it will not work correctly. This might help? Universes, Channels and Ports, oh my!

Secondly, you do not need the ports to have an equal number of pixels and you can put more than one strand in your model on one port. Each port can CONTROL 1024 pixels (It can't provide enough power, but you can inject power if you need to) you can wire the end of one strand to the beginning of the next strand like this. Green is a port connection and red is connecting the strings together.

Question, why are you building that way?  Is the space physically limited to those heights on different columns?  If not, you are going to kick yourself somewhere down the road for not making something more resembling a rectangle.

BTW, for your education, although you are asking specifically about a Falcon controller - which is highly configurable, some pixel controllers from other manufacturers have different levels of configuration capability.  So if you were to buy some other controller, you need to be aware of the capabilities of that particular controller.  For example some controllers can not use absolute addressing, and some controllers can not have a pixel split between two universes.  Very few other controllers can drive 1,000+ pixels on a string.
Using LOR (mostly SuperStar) for all sequencing - using FPP only to drive P5 and P10 panels.
