Trying to update RPi 3B+ to latest 5.5 version so I can upgrade it to 6.3.
Clicking on the green Upgrade FPP button on the About page launches the update, however getting errors opening update files.
RpPi is running v5.5 7fa4149.  Trying to update to f21fd7a.

I was hoping I would not have to dig out the SD card.
Will 6.3 accept a backup of my current 5.5?

It will but if you want the network settings and other configuration settings to be backed up, make sure to UN-CHECK the "Protect sensitive data" box when making the backup and un-checking the network and master remote boxes prior to the restore after starting up Ver 6.X and expanding the file system.  You may also want to consider using a new SD card for this new version because this card may be going bad and that way, you don't lose your current 5.5 setup if the restore doesn't work as expected.

Good points @tbone321, thanks you!
Hope 6.3 works as well as 5.5 has over the years.

A corrupt file... Ick.  That kind of sound like an SD card going bad.   Not only would I suggest a re-image, I'd suggest an entirely new SD card.

Thank you @dkulp.  I just got done upgrading the RPi to 6.3 on a new SD Card.

After setup and restoring the RPi, i ran the Update FPP and the log screen popped up and then stopped after scrolling a while.
Been like that for about 20 minutes.
Should I power cycle the RPi?

Yes, power cycle. I've had to do that after several updates like yours.
