USB Network Dongle recommendation

Hi, we setup another FPP on a Pi4 to run a small 2x4 P5 panel matrix via a colorlight board for a singing wireframe face.  I bought the same cheap USB network adapter I have had for 4 seasons (US Green on Amazon) and while I see it link up on the dongle and FPP sees the NIC, FPP thinks the link is a 0mb/s.  Ethtool is showing it partially connected at 1000/half.  While it's working It has some strange issues when I reboot the colorlight and it not working again until I restart the FPP.  My other Pi4 using the same exact USB NIC but just 4 years old works fine.  I suspect it's different firmware or chipsets on them but it's not worth the time trying to track it down.  Does anyone have any recommendations on USB NICs that just work with FPP so I can buy one?   Thanks!
