F16V3 stuck in endless boot cycle

Just updated my F16V3 to 2.59. Two new sandisk 32g sd cards. One with bootloader, other with firmware. Followed instructions multiple times. After every try it just keeps booting over and over and over........
Reformatted the sd cards to Fat32, reinstalled the firmware and bootloader. Same thing, boots over and over. Any suggestions or do I now have a brick for a controller

Usually a factory reset kicks it out of that state. Power off .. press n hold SEL and apply power. Wait for the factory reset on the led then release the SEL button.

I did that multiple times times. I gave up on it last night. Too pissed off. Going to look at tonight with a better attitude. Thanks. I'll let you know what I find out

Sometimes installing the same firmware version does not take for some reason.  You could try downgrading to 2.55 and see if that works.  If you can downgrade, should be able to go right back to 2.59 after.  No need to stay on older firmware, just install long enough to resolve the issue.

I went back at and redid everything with a not pissed off attitude and it all works now. Thanks all

Todd you brought back up an old topic for me in that your signature says "iphone using tapatalk"  I did not know tapatalk was still around or in use.  I'm not sure it would be needed with the forums of today so I have not even looked for it.

Glad you were able to get your F16v3 controller updated.  I've pretty much never been able to upgrade firmware on any Falcon controller.  Tried both with the SD card method and remote command (can't remember the exact command for that one right now - but it never works).  Still stuck on 2.56b.

I had a few issues with the reset not taking and it taking a couple of tries, but have had when it would not take firmware no mater what and had to downgrade them.  I had to upgrade a dozen controllers in the middle of a snowstorm one year, so still remember it well!   Glad you got it working again!

It was a pain in the *** for both of them. The F48 took two tries but the F16 didn't want to play well. But in the end they're both 2.59 now. I wanted DDP and it looked like 2.59 was where I needed to be.
